Install Language: English (United States) System Model: Windows Vista Ultimate (build 6000) My graphics chip type is Intel(r)845G/845GL/845GE/845GV What's up with my computer? Why was I able to have a higher resolution on my XP for years and now have such a low one on Vista?

I also completed a windows update for the whole system. I have a standard VGA graphics adapter with an up to date driver. In addition it does not have any color settings outside of 16bit. I've tried to change it but it won't allow me too. Everything installed fine but the screen resolution is too low (640x480). Recently, I switched out my hard drive for a blank one with more space and installed Windows Vista Ultimate 32bit version. Recently, I've had a computer that has ran windows XP for years.
